Javier Bardem Honored With Spanish Film Award

‘No Country For Old Men’ star Javier Bardem has won the 2008 Spanish national film award for “goals achieved throughout a long career”, it was announced Wednesday (June 18).
The 39-year-old Oscar winner won the $46,500 prize from Spain’s Culture Ministry who recognized the actor for “defense of the acting profession and a constant commitment to Spanish cinema,” they said in a statement.
Bardem’s next role is alongside Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz in Woody Allen’s ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’ which is released in August.
